WARM UP ROUTINE
The Warm Up Routine prepares the body for Pole Dance training through a series of dynamic and static movement. This 20-minute, Instructor-led sequence is performed on mat and is designed to improve range of motion. A proper Warm Up can also decrease muscle soreness and assist with injury prevention.
Vertical Barre consists of ballet-inspired exercises to improve lines for Pole Dance. The Instructor-led Video Tutorials in this Lesson are demonstrated on both sides of the body to encourage healthy training habits. Included is a four-week Training Curriculum designed to develop Dancers’ active flexibility through repetition and muscle memory.
The Strength Training Lesson is a fitness-based workout designed to develop body control for Pole Dance. The exercises are performed on a yoga mat and engage muscles throughout the body to increase overall range of motion. Included is a four-week Training Curriculum progression through this Lesson.
Pole Technique focuses on the execution of the lateral movement featured in the subsequent Pole Choreography modules. Included are Instructor-led Video Tutorials and a four-week curriculum to encourage successful training habits. Inversions are not required for this Lesson and the content is appropriate for all levels.
Pole Combinations present the unique ways pole movement can ascend, descend and interlock. In this module Dancers learn Tricks and Transitions in a progression from grounded to aerial demonstrations on static pole. These sequences will be used to choreograph a Full Routine in the subsequent Creative Poleography Lesson.
Dancers learn to retain longer sequences to develop a mastery of movement in the Pole Choreography Lessons. To provide the “in-studio” experience, the content is presented from two angles: Front (Devant) and Back (Derriére). Also included are Instructor Demonstrations of the Pole Choreography as an Adagio and an Allégro.
Creative Poleography integrate the content from previous Lessons to create a Full Routine on static pole. Dancers follow a step-by-step guide to create, train and master longer Pole Sequences. Through performance-based exercises, Dancers also explore musicality to transform Pole Dance into a unique Performance Art.
Bonus Lesson One is Rehearsal Training Options designed to help Dancers master the training habits of high-level Pole Performers. It contains three, self-paced Pole Dance workouts, ranging from 75 minutes to 120 minutes. Dancers are encouraged to train at a preferred pace, progressing as the movement unlocks in the body.
COOL DOWN SEQUENCES
Bonus Lesson Two explores the Cool Down Sequenceto gradually return the body to a state of rest after Pole Dance training. The Instructor-led Video Tutorial focuses on the muscles primarily used during the Pole Dance training. Also included are external links to Cool Downs from a variety of disciplines, including running and yoga.
