Kelly Yvonne is a Pole Dance Choreographer creating content for Television, Film, Music Videos, Live Stage and various Digital Entertainment platforms. Her clients include FKA Twigs, Myá, A$AP Rocky, Justin Beiber, Nike, Serena Williams and many more! She is the Artistic Director and Lead Instructor at The Choreography House in Los Angeles, CA.
Kelly Yvonne is the choreographer of CELLOPHANE a music video by FKA Twigs’ and directed by Andrew Thomas Huang (Bjork, Sydney Opera House). Since it’s release in April 2019, Ms Yvonne has been nominated for Best Choreography by MTV at the Video Music Awards (USA), by the UK Music Video Awards (England) and by the Ciclope Festival (WINNER / Germany). CELLOPHANE was also nominated for Best Music Video by the Recording Academy for the 2019 Grammy Awards. Twigs captured her pole training experience in a documentary called Practice, featuring her work with Ms Yvonne at the Los Angeles studio.
Kelly Yvonne also choreographed the pole routine for the Fukk Sleep music video, a brilliant collaboration between FKA Twigs and A$AP Rocky. Most recently Kelly Yvonne choreographed FKA Twigs’ pole routine for the Prince Tribute performed at the 62nd Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, CA. This incredible display also featured recording artists Usher and Sheila E.
Ms Yvonne created two pieces for FKA Twigs’ international Magdalene Tour, following the release of her second studio album by the same name. She was also the movement coach for Twigs on a pole photo shoot for i-D Magazine with acclaimed photographer Willy Vanderperre (Vogue, Calvin Klein, Dior). Ms Yvonne also had the privilege of performing on pole with the British Virtuoso at the Afropunk Music Festival in Atlanta, GA.
From the exposure of her current work, Ms Yvonne has assisted creatively on a variety of projects. Most recently, she worked in the Art Department on the 10,00 Hours music video, a collaboration between Justin Beiber and Dan + Shay.
When she’s not on set, Ms. Yvonne continues to develop high-level Pole Dance Performers through online classes and workshops at The Choreography House. Her Competition Choreography has been awarded over 75 National and International Titles in Pole Dance Competitions around the world. Ms. Yvonne was named “Choreographer of the Year” by both the International Pole Dance Fitness Association (IPDFA) and the Pole World News (PWN) organizations for her dynamic body of work.
