Practice healthy training habits by considering Safety First during all Pole Dance rehearsals. Listed below are some helpful reminders:
- Train Pole Tricks you are comfortable executing at home / unassisted
- Use a crash mat (or similar) during Pole Dance rehearsals
- Avoid Pole Tricks that require a spot until an Instructor is present
- Begin Pole Dance training after completing a 20-minute Warm Up Routine
REVIEW YOUR POLE VOCABULARY Assign the Pole Tricks you know to one of three Creative Poleography categories:
RECORD YOUR POLE VOCABULARY Document on video a demonstration of the Pole Tricks you know and can currently execute from the three Creative Poleography categories.
NEW TO POLE
If you are new to pole, learn and review all of the Pole Tricks included in the Skill Development Lesson. Be sure to train on both sides of the body. Rehearse until memorized to complete Part One and Two of this assignment.
RETURNING TO POLE
If you are returning to pole, review past training videos and assign the Pole Tricks you have learned to the three Creative Poleography categories. Re-train these tricks on both sides of the body until memorized. Be sure to also rehearse all of the Pole Tricks included in the Skill Development Lesson.
