Class Descriptions

The Choreography House is the first 24 hour pole dance training and rehearsal studio in the world! This studio offers a wide variety of classes led by a diverse pole, dance and fitness staff. Our unique curriculum provides dancers with the most well-rounded pole dance training in the greater LA area!

REGISTER FOR CLASSES

THE ART OF SEDUCTION

This class focuses on the art of sensuality with movement on and around pole. Includes a sexy warm-up and erotic across-the-floor exercises.

Minimum Skill Requirement: None

BALLET FOR POLE DANCERS

This class will teach basics of ballet technique and will include a dance-based warm up, introduction to (vertical) barre and around the pole exercises.

 GIRLS NIGHT IN

On Fridays we host specialty workshops featuring national and international instructors with a variety of backgrounds. Regular guests include Aisha Francis (Choreographer for Beyoncé), Jacob “Kujo” Lyons (Chinese Pole Acrobat), Cati Jean (Choreographer for Jessica Biel); and many more! HIPS, BUNS AND THIGHS…OH MY!

This class is designed to strengthen and tone the hip, butt, and thigh areas using a mix of cardio, conditioning, and tweaking exercises.

LATIN BURLESQUE

Learn the hottest moves from salsa to tango to bachata with a sexy twist. Make your pole performances sizzle, latina-style!

Minimum Skill Requirement: None

OPEN POLE

Our 90 minute open pole sessions are instructor-free, pole practice time. Students use this time to perfect movement learned in class, to work on routines or to create new moves! Residents can add Open Pole onto their membership packages OR Open Pole can be purchased for a nominal drop in rate of $15.

POLE: BEGINNING LEVEL I

READY TO POLE? Beginning Level I will feature the basics of pole dance technique, including spins, sexy stands, pole sits and climbing. Each student will learn how to channel their “inner sexy” through this fun fitness program.

POLE: BEGINNING LEVEL II

Beginning Level II will expand on the basics of pole dance technique to include combinations spins, climb variations and inversions.

Minimum Skill Requirements: Basic spins, Thigh Grips and Traditional Climbing

POLE: INTERMEDIATE

The Intermediate Level Pole Class focuses on pole combinations and tricks that bridge the gap between beginning and advanced pole levels, including shoulder mounts, grip variations, intricate spins, drops and tumbles.

Minimum Skill Requirements: Aerial Inversions and Combination Spins

POLE: ADVANCED LEVEL I

Advanced Level I Pole focuses on challenging pole combinations including advanced level inversions, holds, spins and drops.

Minimum Skill Requirements: Shoulder Mounts, Handsprings, Armpit Grips and Elbow Grips

POLE: PRE-PROFESSIONAL

This is a professional level class that infuses the most challenging and rigorous pole movement from around the world! Studying the works of the current top pole athletes, dancers will learn innovative tricks, transitions and combinations perfect for competitors and performers alike. Dancers will learn to master movement perfected by the PROS!

Minimum Skill Requirements: Ground/Arial Inversions-Ground/Arial Shoulder Mounts; Climbing (various); Handsprings (multiple grips); Armpit Grips and Elbow Grips

ROCK HARD BODIES

This high intensity interval training workout will challenge you in a whole new way! Be prepared to work your muscles and your heart while increasing strength, power, and agility, all skills which will translate to pole. This class will end with a deep stretching routine and is a workout guaranteed to make you sore and sculpt your body! Please wear gym clothes and shoes.

SPINNING POLE: BEGINNING LEVEL II

This class will provide an introduction to tricks, combinations and transitions for specifically designed for spinning pole.

Minimum Skill Requirements: 4-6 weeks of Pole: Beginning Level I

SPINNING POLE: INTERMEDIATE

This class will provide an introduction to tricks, combinations and transitions for specifically designed for spinning pole.

Minimum Skill Requirements: Basic spins, Inversions, Thigh Grips and Traditional Climbing

SPINNING POLE: ADVANCED

This class will focus on tricks, combinations and transitions for specifically designed for spinning pole.

Minimum Skill Requirements: Ground/Arial Inversions, Shoulder Mounts, Elbow Grips and Climbing

STRETCH AND FLEXIBILITY

This class is a dance-based stretching regime that infuses ballet, modern and contortion techniques to safely increase flexibility.

Minimum Skill Requirements: None

ULTIMATE POLE FITNESS

This class will combine training and conditioning techniques needed develop strength for a variety of pole dance movement. Conditioning will focus on the whole body: arms, legs and core, both individually and combined. Moves are based with pole dance and tricks in mind, so not only do they build strength, but muscle memory as well.
